Your documents list looks good, however you don’t need:
- 2 passport photos of sponsor (they already have his photo on the passport copy page)

       - Certified copy of XXX passport information page by Royal Mail

And it's a small point but your sponsor's passport copy wasn't certified by the Royal Mail, it was done by the Post Office. They are different.  :)

You know I never even thought about the difference before :P.

I’m just looking on Wikipedia and it says this:
”Post Office branches, along with the Royal Mail delivery service, were formerly part of the General Post Office and later the Post Office corporation. Post Office Counters Ltd was created as a wholly owned subsidiary of the Post Office corporation in 1986. After the Post Office corporation was renamed Royal Mail Group in 2001, Post Office Counters Ltd became Post Office Ltd.”

Post Office sells the stamps, Royal Mail delivers the letter.

They became separate in 2012.

Kinda random question
Almost all of our wedding photos are black and white is that ok .. And I have one of us and the wedding party is that a good one to send or should we just send one of us ? Also I decided against a white dress and picked one that matched his kilt they aren't gonna question that ? I'm probably reading way to much into it ....  Sorry I'm at work .. doing thisvisa stuff with a full time job where all I do is stare at paperwork all day I gotta squeeze in questions lol...

It’s fine - all they need to see is that you have met in person... doesn’t matter what colour the photo is.

Though I would only send one of just you two and not with the wedding party.

You don’t even need to send a photo from the wedding... it can be from any time - we just suggest it because it makes sense to send one from the wedding since you are applying as a spouse... and also most people will have wedding photos but they might not have many other photos together.

It used to need to be certified but people seem to have been fine with a regular photocopy. We tend to recommend getting it certified if you can.

You can get it certified at a Post Office in the UK for about £8.

I’m having a bit of a giggle over here.  Step away from the application, you have officially entered the land of over analysis!

For applications, is this necessary? I am planning to submit my application tomorrow and I don't have any travel booked since I don't know when I may get the visa.
