Thank goodness! This has been an incredibly hard time for you!
Married 1966, left UK 1969, returned 1998, left again 2000, returned June 2014 (husband on spousal visa) granted FLR(M) November 30th 2016  and ILR on  24th May, 2019. Yeah!

This is not a drill! A decision has been made folks!

...

I'll email VFS when they're in the office to find out if it's an approval and when I can collect my passport.

Congratulations, Dani!  We've all been so frustrated and annoyed on your behalf.  After you do collect your passport and have your visa safely in hand, don't forget they overcharged you by about $1600.  We'll all write letters of complaint to back you up.... you deserve a refund.  But for now, yay!  A decision!
9/1/2013 - "fiancée" (marriage) visa issued
4/6/2013 - married (certificate issued same-day)
5/6/2013 - FLR(M)#1 in person -- approved!
8/1/2016 - FLR(M)#2 by post -- approved!
8/5/2018 - ILR in person -- approved!
22/11/2018 - Citizenship (online, with NDRS+JCAP) -- approved!
14/12/2018 - I became a British citizen.  :)

Thanks everyone! I've heard back from VFS and it appears that even this part takes longer!! Here is what they said:

Quote
If they have issued a decision, which they do not tell us they only let us know when they are shipping documents, then we should be receiving your application in the next 24 to 48 hours barring weather related issues. It takes roughly a half an hour on our end for the processing once your documents arrive. Once we finish the processing we will notify you via mail and phone.

@FLgator86 - Does this ring true to you? I know it took a bit for them to get back to you but they knew you were approved. I know they're pissed at me and I feel they've been unprofessional so now I worry they'll hold my info. hostage ("barring weather related issues" red flag?). Btw- nice to see ya! Missed you around here, but so glad you're not still wading through this mess too.

Dani, you have no idea how much this entire "service" has pissed me right off.  They better not make this delayed any longer.

If the documents were shipped out of the UK on Wednesday (what time did you get your decision made email), the office should have them on Friday.  I'd be sitting in their lobby on Friday.  But I know it's not a short trip for you.  Grrrrrr........

Good Lord! They are such a nightmare  >:(

I've been stalking this thread just waiting to hear about your application lol

House is now on the market and I'm collecting my BRP next Thursday... The post office confirmed they received it!

What they said to you doesn't make sense to me at all. As far as I know, their interaction with UKVI is entirely electronic. The entry clearance vignette was a sticker that might have been shipped to them - but with the timing I don't see how that would've been possible. It seems more like they had the facilities to generate the vignette in-house. The sticker was embossed with a home office seal but again, I was under the impression they did that in DC. How else would they be able to turn it around in a day via UPS once they got my passport back? I call BS on their email, but the pros might know better?

We don't know better as you guys were our guinea pigs.

FLgator, have you complained yet or will that be on your to-do when you make the final move?  I really hope you complain to your MP.

Yeah it's weird, he's saying they'll be notified when Sheffield sends docs, so they haven't yet? My email arrived at 7:54 am GMT. Then 24 - 48 hours from then?

Oh we sent the letter to our MP already. Not sure if anything will come of that.

I'm still crafting my email to VFS - but I'll be sending it to their general UK enquiries address and the PAC in DC. Basically saying that they didn't provide any of the advertised services and that we've notified UKVI and our MP of the fact. I can't prove that we didn't get 'priority service,' since that timeline is not controlled by VFS. What I am saying is that the extra $829 we paid only let us keep the passport - none of the other things they promised. TBH I'm not going to hold my breath that they'll even acknowledge my email.

I suspect they are not being truthful with you.
