Your list looks good - if I remember correctly, you listed your joint mail documents on a different thread and have them all sorted out, ready for the application?

I don't believe you need to send your old passport unless you used it to enter the UK when you moved here and you've since acquired a new passport while living in the UK.

You don't technically need a letter of support from the sponsor (it's not listed in the required documents), but there's no harm in including one if you want to.

Just to confirm that the most recent bank statement, payslip and the employer letter are all dated within 28 days of the date you will mail the documents?

I did, yes
I have a piece of mail for every month since July, it's just that July and December are just addressed to me, everthing else is joint. I've put in a few other pieces of official mail for him. I've also included a note saying that I've only just arrive in the UK in July and this is what we've managed to get so far.

Latest payslip is dated 24th November
Latest bank statement is dated 28th November and stamped by the bank on the 29th
Letter from employer is dated the 7th December

Thanks larrabee. I'll keep everyone updated with how long it takes. I'm expecting it to be slower because of the upcoming holiday.

Also...quick question
Do I need to include a pre-paid envelope for them to return docs?

Thanks again :)

Have a look at the FLR(M) guidance notes, as it tells you what to do in there.

Essentially though, you only need to include one if you want the documents sent back using Special Delivery.

If you want them to be delivered Special Delivery, you do. If you don't include that, they will send the package back by regular, recorded delivery.

I don't think you need the bank statements to be signed and stamped by the bank.

Is this a requirement?

If they are not originals sent to you by the bank, they must be stamped on every page or accompanied by a letter verifying their authenticity.

From Appendix FM-SE which specifies the required format of the documents:

a) Bank statements must:

v) be:
(1) on official bank stationery;
or
(2) electronic bank statements which are either accompanied by a letter from the bank on its headed stationery confirming that the documents are authentic or which bear the official stamp of the issuing bank on every page.
