Let the negotiations begin!
« on: January 31, 2018, 03:46:56 PM »
FINALLY!!!

I've got an offer.  Been keeping quiet about this one as I didn't want to jinx it.  I'm excited.  We are deep in the negotiation phase now.  They've relented on two and not a third...  I'm still pushing.  Told them this is what I'll do for them.  ;)

Fingers crossed!

Thanks for listening and encouraging me through all my ups and downs lately!  You guys are the best!

Oh this is most excellent news!  You're going to get out of the house and reclaim your identity!  Congratulations, KF!  Good luck with that third point in your negotiations.  (I love negotiations when I'm representing someone else, but I am too easy-going when it's for my own sake... don't be me.  Stand up for yourself as if you were a client.)

Hey that's great! So glad to hear for you.

I always forget to negotiate. I always get offered better than what I have.
The usual. American girl meets British guy. They fall into like, then into love. Then there was the big decision. The American traveled across the pond to join the Brit. And life was never the same again.

You'll be right behind me.

I am being very reasonable in my ask.  I'm hoping they meet it.  Fingers crossed!

Oh. I actually have a contract in hand for the job I interviewed for two weeks ago down by the NEC. It's more days off, better pay and I start on the 14th. Just studying for my theory test.

That's really good news!  Is it the one I predicted?  If so, I'm going to have to change my username

Of course, either right now or just after you reach agreement you are going to get so many calls.  Expect a call from Larry Ellison.
