I just got my Tesco shop, and I almost didn't order these because I've been disappointed so many times by the bold claims about how "hot" something is.  But I'm so glad I gave them a chance!  Walker's Max Strong Jalapeno and Cheese crisps are good!

Thanks... I'll need to look for these!  What colour is the packet?

*pokes the link*  Black with yellow and red on the front?  It's bold.  You will see them if you're looking.  There are three different flavours in the Max Strong line... If you like heat, I think the jalapeño and cheese flavour are meant to be the hottest, but I didn't even notice the others and have only tried these.

The title of this literally made me laugh out loud!

*grin*  I was actually worried I'd offend people with it.  And then I thought it was the most "American" thing I've done since I don't know when.  But that really happened!  It's not often that a UK-made snack food meets my expectations.  These exceeded them.  As an American who grew up in America, I don't really do subtle.  Neither do these crisps.

Can't see anything remotely offensive with it, if that means anything :) (but then i swear like a sailor so I guess that might not help much haha)

I do, too, offline.  But online, I usually try to keep my language family-friendly.  I don't know why, but I've always done this.  It can be hard, though, because sometimes there just aren't family-friendly words to convey how I feel, you know?

I bought some today and am just trying them now - they are very good :)!

I tried the Chilli and Lime ones in the range last week and thought they were okay, but they had a bit too much lime flavour.

But the Jalapeno and Cheese ones just take me right back to eating chile con queso when I lived in New Mexico!

Thanks for trying the chili and lime so I don't have to.  After being impressed by this flavour, I was curious about the others.  But I might just stick to what I know.  :)

No problem :). It was okay - a bit spicy (nothing like the jalapeno ones though), but you could definitely taste the tangy lime.

So that just leaves the Hot Chicken Wing flavour... if they tasted like Frank's Red Hot, that might be nice, but if they actually taste like chicken,.... blech.  I fell for that once.  When a snack product says it's "roast chicken" here, they mean it.  And that's a weird flavour in a crisp.

I just got a sample of Mr. Singhs chilli, lemon and salt crisps. And holy potato gods! It was so good. I got some hummus (or I imagine any dip), and it was divine!

Got buffalo chicken wing flavoured the other day (can't remember what brand) and they did, surprisingly, actually taste like buffalo chicken wings. It was crazy hah
