A bit of background. I taught in the US for about 6 years. In 2015, I moved to the UK with my husband and when able to work legally (Jan 2016), I found a teaching job. My first school was dreadful, but I stuck it out for almost two full school years. Then, I moved schools to see if it was any better. Some things were, however, I was working even more hours and was even more stressed/anxious/depressed. I am currently on sick leave due to stress and have handed my notice in.
I am putting together my CV, but am struggling. It seems the best choice is to make it more skills-based for a career change, but I still want to make sure it looks the best it can.
So my first question is: Has anyone left teaching and been successful with finding another job/career here in the UK?
Second question: Does anyone have an example of a skills-based CV that I would be able to see?
Thanks!
