Still do.  The boat is looking gorgeous, we’ve done so much work on her.  We pretty much gutted and replaced everything in it a bit at a time, while living in it.  It’s been so fun realizing our dream retirement.
Awww! This makes me so happy :)

I love my house and all the plans we have for it, but... *sigh* ... I also love what you're doing.  That looks so wonderful.  Does it ever feel like not enough?  Are you ever tired of it and wishing you just had a piece of land?  Or does it continue to be awesome?

I love to garden.  My compromise is a pretty extensive container garden.  What we would eventually like to do is purchase or lease a small plot of land for the sole purpose of vegetable gardening and raising chickens (I’ve done both before).  We’ve always had multiple dogs and now we have one tiny dog.  But all in all, simplifying has been very satisfying.  The stuff we have is stuff we need or love, there simply is no room for junk.  It feels completely like the right decision for us.

That must be so liberating!

have to ask.  is that lifestyle hard?  can you settle down in one place for a few weeks and just enjoy?  or do you have to constantly be moving around?

it is expensive?   what is the average monthly cost of living that life?

I am contemplating a move, and trying to look at options.

Sounds lovely.  We have a fixed home on land, but our house is small (not so small as yours, obviously!), and we intend to keep it uncluttered as best we can.  We don't need a lot of things.  We just need a peaceful space that is comfortable to exist in.  But I also need my workshop, because I like to be able to create whenever I get the urge (or need!).  Still, your boat lifestyle looks very very attractive.

We are based in a marina.  I’m here on a visa, so this gives me a fixed address.  We pay counsel tax, insurance, boat license, and marina fees.  All told, about 8000£ per year.  There’s also electricity, diesel, coal for warmth, gas for cooking.  Still, it’s easily affordable in the north.

Continuous cruisers have to move every two weeks.  And they can’t just loop back and forth.  Not something I was particularly interested in doing, but there are those who love it.
