Art installation that KoD *must* visit!
« on: May 18, 2018, 12:13:52 PM »
KoD, a video about this came up in my Facebook newsfeed, and I will be sad if it's still on when you're in Japan and you don't manage to visit it:  https://borderless.teamlab.art/

Tickets will be available from late May, and they will be 3200Yen (about £21.50) for adults.  Definitely look into this early in case it gets booked up!

I really hope it's still happening, so I can live vicariously through you.  :P  It only starts in June, and I wouldn't think they'd create all that just for a few weeks.  It should still be going!  Yay!  Be sure to inquire early about tickets.  If ticket sales open in May for a June 21st opening, I think they expect high demand.  I would expect high demand!

Loads of places in Japan seem to sell limited amounts of tickets at the beginning of each month. It can be super frustrating.

I assume you can buy tickets for most things online... ticket availability might help you sort out your itinerary, so you stop 'arguing' with your husband about it.  :)

Yeah you can buy them online, but a lot of places just release them online in limited batches and only at certain times of the month and once they are gone they are gone until they release the next batch! Hopefully this isn't one of those things! haha

I actually prefer to not need a ticket in advance because we don't like rigid itineraries! That is our problem and why we argue! haha

Are mushrooms legal in Japan?  I don't think so.

No neither of us really are. We like having rough ideas of what we need to do and then doing whichever ones we're feeling like on that day and/or moving things around etc. etc. We are very laid-back and easy going. We don't like rigid plans. But planning this trip, because of how far away it is/how expensive it is and how things work in Japan with needing to preorder so far in advance (E.G. Studio Ghibli Museum has to be ordered from outside the country and is one of those places with limited release tickets up for sale at the beginning of the month).

And you showed me pictures, and it made me very happy (and envious).  I also want to go to that place you went to that had the rides... the indoor amusement park place thing.  It looked awesome, too!

Once I actually go through all the photos I'll post the good ones from my camera that you didn't get to see!
