Print question
« on: June 07, 2018, 11:27:54 AM »
We have a poster/print that I'd like to get printed in black and white. Anyone know where I can take it to get this done? I checked to see if I could buy a black and white one online, but it only comes in color.

Is it something that needs to be scanned then printed?

Is it a digital image you have? Convert it to black and white on your computer then print as if it was in color.

Yes, we already have the actual print. It's not a digital image.

You'll need to find somewhere that does repographics. (Has a large, high quality scanner).

Meant reprographics.

Larger cities should have them, my hometown had several and it's populations was only about 60,000.

The usual. American girl meets British guy. They fall into like, then into love. Then there was the big decision. The American traveled across the pond to join the Brit. And life was never the same again.

However, it is copyright infringement to do so and you may find most places won't reproduce it for you. Ethnically and legally they shouldn't.

very true...

Have you tried contacting the artist and see if you could get it in black and white?

This is an old print that was designed in the 1950s...... the artist is dead now. Bought it off the All Posters website.

Copyright infringement  ::) and contacting people, asking permission, etc. seems like way too much of a faff. I may just forgo it and find something different. This print is not that important. We just wanted the color changed so it'll match our living room better, which we recently redid.
