UK bank account

Is there an easy way to set up a bank account in the UK while I'm still in the US? I don't have an address in the UK yet, but I need a bank account to receive my salary.

To set up a UK bank account for just about every bank you have to have proof of residency, your BRP and a piece of mail (,often from a very specific list) with your name on it for the UK address you live at. It's such a pain.

Apparently there is a bank that has US and UK banks and hopefully someone will chime in with that one.
