7-Layer Bars (aka Magic Bars) adapted to UK?
« on: June 30, 2018, 07:24:38 PM »
Hey all,

I crave these every summer and I a) dont have any butterscotch chips and b) dont have any graham crackers. I can make my own butterscotch chips apparently, but the graham crackers are a bit more challenging. Yes I know I can get them through an importer, though I was wondering if anyone has found a good substitute here? Worried digestives will be too heavy.

Made them a month or so ago (had butterscotch chips and chocolate chips from the US). Digestives are fine instead of graham crackers. Personally, I didn't notice any difference.

Oh I LOVE 7 layer bars.  I would think Digestives would work fine.
How do you make butterscotch chips?
I've never gotten food on my underpants!

I have decided that the Lotus Biscoff biscuits have a graham crackery kind of flavour (if not texture), and next time I need a graham cracker crust, i'm going to crush some of those up.

That sounds a good idea... or a mixture of Biscoff and digestives?

Interesting...we eat a ton of Biscoff, and never ever have I considered them even remotely like digestives in flavor, texture or anything else.

They're not like digestives in flavour or texture.  They're somewhat like graham crackers in flavour.  It's the hint of cinnamon, I think.
