Hi Everyone!!

Hi all!!!

My name is Alexis and my husband and I filed our spousal immigration application in April. We are slowly dying just waiting for an answer. I've been reading through all your blog posts and have learned so much about the process through this site. I'm so happy to have found it!  ;D ;D

We hit the 12-week mark on the 30th and I can hardly wait. I can't wait to share our story with you all!

Alexis

Hi Alexis!  Welcome to the forum, and good luck!    I'm guessing that at 12 weeks since you applied, you did not use priority?

Did you find us and learn about the process before you applied, or are you just finding us now?

Hi,

Yes we are nearing the 12-week mark. We were advised that since we had a previous visit visa denied that it wouldn't be worth it to pay for priority. Since it would probably take longer for them to go through our application anyway. I'm applying from Cleveland. I found you guys after we had applied. But everything on the site has been super helpful!

Welcome to the forum :).

They only say that about priority to cover their own backs (so you can’t complain if it takes longer)... it’s still worth paying for it even with a refusal, because it means your application skips the majority of the waiting line (so it goes through the priority part before they even know you had a refusal).

Which unfortunately means that if you had paid for priority, you probably would have got your visa a few weeks ago :(.

On the plus side, after 12 weeks, you shouldn’t have too much longer to wait now :).

Ah, finally someone coming from a place I have lived!  I was in Cleveland for a few years for my graduate studies (about a lifetime ago... my apartment was at the north edge of Shaker Heights).  I thoroughly enjoyed my time there, apart from the stress of my degree.
