Don't forget about little memories of home...I have 10 packets of Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing mix in my suitcase bc you can't get it there! Charity shops are great for bulky winter clothes.  I'm lucky that my husband made 3 trips back during our visa wait so be took a large suit case each time. I just have a small rolling duffel and a carry on!

I also have a huge can of Tony Chachere seasoning and I'm going to see if I have room for a box of peanut butter Captain Crunch

Everyone take this as it is... but I will miss my Dunkin' Donuts coffee... I've travelled all of my life and have tasted so many different types of coffees and teas, but there is just something about Dunkin's coffee, especially when I go and get there freshly brewed every morning. haha.  Even my Hubby is obsessed with it now too.

On the flip side, I'm looking forward to these things...

Porn star martinis (if you haven't tried one DO IT!), fish and chips, shepards/cottage pie, sausage rolls (gotta love gregg's haha), afternoon teas, beer gardens/pubs, driving around the countryside, rhubarb gin & ginger ale and the list goes on and on!~ most of this is eating and drinking  ;)

Don't forget to put stuff in your shoes and boots. Don't waste space!

And rolling your clothes is the best way to pack. Use baggies to secure anything breakable or which can cause a mess if it breaks open like liquid and powders.

Rolling clothes helps so much but I also used packing compression cubes. Got some off amazon for $12 for a pack of 3. Instead of rolling out air like the zip loc ones, they zip down and squeeze it out. Look for Gonex or Eagle Creek. I brought every piece of clothing with my by using them  ;D

If you pack well, it's going to be the weight, not the volume which will limit you.
It's worth investing in a good pair of luggage scales so that you can take your bags right up to the limit weight wise.   :)

This.  This is always my issue.  And we weigh the bag at home within an inch of it's life.  ;D

Me too!   ;D

I would also always have something small but dense, that I had earmarked for transfer to hand luggage, just in case their scales didn't agree with mine and something needed to be offloaded!

This is so true! I brought 4 bags with me and due to my handy dandy luggage scales they were all exactly 51 lbs which was the limit!
