Hello from Northern Ireland!

Hi guys so happy to finally have joined up after a while of lurking as a guest!

I am married to a beautiful American girl! We met when she was working in the UK but sadly due to family matters in the US she had to return back to the States. I am currently working towards meeting the Visa and have just finished a degree! So a busy bee. This place seems to be full of amazing people, it is so touching to see just how much help, concern and genuine feeling everyone has for each other! Excited that I am at this stage but plenty of questions! However I will keep them in the relevant sections of the forum!

But one for here! How do I set a profile image! Haha!

Welcome!  :) Are you going to the US or is she coming here?

Go to the profile tab, top left, then modify profile, then poke around a bit and you'll find what you're looking for!  ;D

Welcome! I hope you can encourage her to join us! We have a lot of sections for adjusting to UK life and making new friends as well. :)

My, how time flies....

* Married in the US and applied for first spousal visa August 2013
* Moved to the UK on said visa October 2013
* FLR(M) applied for  May 2016. Biometrics requested June 2016. Approval given July 2016.
* ILR applied for January 2019 (using priority processing). Approved February 2019.
* Citizenship applied for May  2019
* Citizenship approved on July 4th 2019
* Ceremony conducted on August 28th 2019
