Yes, you are good to just rewrite the question in additional information and attach it.  Like Margo said, saving it on your computer and printing/attaching will be useful.  As you'll be surprised when you may need this information again (if you plan to have kids, you'll need it all when you register their birth).

Try to put what you can remember.  But don't stress too much.  I had month/year as there was no way I could remember exact dates but knew I pretty well had the month right (or thereabouts).  Aim for it to be as complete as possible, but it's okay if it's not 100%.  It's just showing transparency and that you aren't being deceptive with your travel history.

Travel History List

I think you can attach a separate list with all of your travel (and save it for future visas). You want to list everything you possibly can. :)

Thank you so much! I have a couple more questions about the travel history list

1. So I tried entering in all my dates on the website before I read your posts and it wouldn't let me fit all of them. I have now written up a page to attach. Would it be ok if someone just took a look at it and see if this is an appropriate format and if there is any additional information I should include on the attached page? I tried to copy the question and how everything was phrased.

2. Also since I am attaching an extra page with all my travel dates, how many should I put on the actually question itself? None? Should I list the first three or four travel dates?

1- Just copy the format as it appears on the application.
2- If it will let you, put "see additional page for details of full travel history" or words to that effect.

Unfortunately there is no spot on the online application to write "see additional page." I'm unsure how many travel days to list on the form in addition to my attached page.

Here is the attached page:

There's not a formal way to add it as far as I know. I wrote a basic cover letter for myself so I referenced the list there and gave an overview of the package contents. I hope that helps! My list was similar to yours.

Hi Margo, yes thank you for writing! I am still stuck on what to include on the actual online form. It only allows me to include so many dates on the website:

What I'm wondering is should I leave these dates as they are and just pick up where the left off on the additional page? Or should I include ALL travel dates on my additional page anyway? Or should I just include like 5 on the website and then pick up where they left off on the additional page? I'm pretty stuck on this one

I picked up where it left off. So the most recent are on the website and the older on the attached page.

Don't over think it. They just want honesty, there are no rules on order etc. :)

Thanks, margo. It's so helpful to have some advice on formatting. It's so easy to get stuck on the specifics of things like this  :)

Don't over think it.

Haha! The goal of my life  ;)

Yeah that makes sense. Thanks again for all your help!

Does anyone know if my total income on the online application should be in dollars or converted to pounds? I tried to enter in the $ but the website wouldn’t allow me to.

As KFDancer said, it needs to be entered in pounds.

If you are paid in dollars, you should use the Oanda exchange rate on the date you submit the online application, as that is the conversion rate UKVI will use to determine if you meet the requirement or not.

Property Inspection, Applicant Letter, and Contents
« Reply #58 on: October 11, 2018, 06:18:40 PM »
So I'm just working on some of our supporting documents now and I ran into three main questions.

1) I read a few threads on this forum that seem to suggest if you are planning on living in a house with anyone else besides your spouse you need to get a property inspection to prove that there will be no overcrowding. Is this necessary in addition to the signed letter we already have from our landlord?

2) I have seen some debate on whether or not an applicant cover letter is needed. However, it seems better to be safe than sorry. Is there any advice on what should be included in the applicant letter besides a table of contents?

3) As far as headers go it seems as if paper clips and post-it notes are the way to go. If I list the table of contents as it is listed below, and then just include the post it notes with every BOLD section as a title throughout the pile of papers is that enough?

Contents
General:
•   Settlement priority service payment receipt
•   Cover Letter/Table of Contents
•   Biometric data submission confirmation
•   Printed and signed visa application
•   Appendix 2
Applicant’s Information:
•   Applicant’s current passport as well as any previous passports
•   2 recent passport-sized photographs of applicant
Sponsor’s Information:
•   Sponsor’s Letter of Support
•   Certified Photocopy of Sponsor’s Passport
Evidence of Accommodation:
•   Letter of Accommodation Support from sponsor’s landlord
Evidence of Sponsor’s Employment and Finances:
•   Employment status/history letter from sponsor’s employer (signed by employer)
•   Sponsor’s employment contract
•   Sponsor’s most recent P60 Certificate
•   Sponsor’s original payslips covering 6 months
•   Printed copy of sponsor’s bank account 6-month history.  Stamped and signed by bank.
Evidence of Marriage and Relationship:
•   Marriage license
•   FaceTime history screenshots from various points in the last year
•   Facebook Messenger screenshots showing correspondences from once a week over the last year.
•   1 photo from wedding and 1 from earlier in our relationship (dated on the back with short explanation of photo)
•   All boarding passes to see each other
•   Letters that we have written to one another.

Thank you!

1) A property inspection is ONLY required if you will be in an HMO (House of Multiple Occupation)... this is where several separate families are living in one property, where there could be a case of overcrowding (i.e. a whole family living in one room). It does not apply to a situation where there is a roommate or two also living in the property. So, you just need:
- tenancy agreement
- letter from landlord
- ideally also a letter from the roommate saying they have no objection to you living there either

2) Unless you have any complicated circumstances to explain (criminal convictions or bad UK immigration history), the cover letter just needs to include:
- visa type applied for
- date you want the visa to start
- list of package contents

3) Yep, that's fine... you probably don't even need that much

In terms of your documents list, I'm just going to rearrange the sections slightly:

Applicant Documents:
•   Settlement priority service payment receipt
- Return shipping label
•   Cover Letter/Table of Contents
•   Printed and signed visa application
•   Appendix 2
•   Biometric data submission confirmation
•   Applicant’s current passport as well as any previous passports
•   1 recent passport-sized photograph of applicant

Sponsor’s Information:
•   Sponsor’s Letter of Support
•   Certified Photocopy of Sponsor’s Passport

Evidence of Accommodation:
- Original tenancy agreement
•   Letter of Accommodation Support from sponsor’s landlord
- letter from any roommates

Evidence of Sponsor’s Employment and Finances:
•   Sponsor’s original payslips covering 6 months
•   Printed copy of sponsor’s bank account 6-month history.  Stamped and signed by bank.
•   Employment status/history letter from sponsor’s employer (signed by employer)
Optional but recommended:
•   Sponsor’s employment contract
•   Sponsor’s most recent P60 Certificate

Evidence of Marriage and Relationship:
•   Marriage license certificate (the licence is what you get BEFORE you get married, to say you are allowed to marry)
•   1 photo from wedding and 1 from earlier in our relationship (no need to write anything on back)
•   All boarding passes to see each other
•   Letters that we have written to one another.
•   FaceTime history screenshots from various points in the last year
•   Facebook Messenger screenshots showing correspondences from once a week over the last year.

Photocopies
- Copies of all originals you wish to be returned
