UPS access points

Anyone regularly drop off packages at a UPS Access Point? I live in a small village so I went to the next village over to drop off a package to be sent. It’s still sitting at the Costcutter! 2 days later  🙄 Should I  try to go back and get it and try a different location? I paid for expedited lol

Oh, gosh! No, no experience with UPS. But I'd go ask for my parcel back - if you are sure it's actually still there. Perhaps it just wasn't scanned properly when picked up?

I've used the Post Office, which contracts to ParcelForce, which contracts to (overseas) FedEx. And I've paid for next-day a few times now. It's never actually gotten to the USA next-day, no matter how early in the day I've dropped it off at the PO (even when it's been picked up there before noon). Apparently paying for "next day" gets you next-next-day.   

I thought that too but we called and non of the packages dropped off from that day have yet to be picked up. We called the Costcutter last night and the girl told us. I guess if they don't pick it up today we'll go back when my husband gets off work and try to retrieve it. It's a very important/sensitive document and I thought UPS would be the best choice but.... DHL was more expensive but at this point, I'll just make the drive to their depot tomorrow and drop it off.

If it's time-sensitive, for heaven's sake do NOT use ParcelForce/FedEx.

I would never especially after seeing your ordeal. I wish we would’ve just used DHL. It finally has a scan although don’t know where it actually is. When she scanned it in Newburgh it showed up as Dundee. (80 miles away lol). 

I paid for expedited which it was supposed to take  two days and now it’s saying Thursday.

Yeah, I could not find a DHL drop off point in town. Not sure they can send a courier to your home or not to pick up an item, but they also could not promise us "next day". If something isn't urgent I may try them.

UPS could not guarantee next-day. FedEx is disavowing any sort of next-day service, saying it was never going to be next-day from when they received it. (Of course, they shipped it out of the country Thursday night, so if it had gone to the correct country it would have been there today.) Honestly, I am unable to find any service here that will reliably take documents from one country to the other overnight, or the reverse.

If I have to have anything go to Ireland urgently again, my best bet is to get on an airplane with it. Seriously. It'd cost more, but get there. Hope your package has better luck.

I thought the same thing. Book a ticket and take it over. If a company offers international shipping they should do a much better job than a barrel of gerbrls.

I think I'd take the bus and ferry, though. Scared to death of RyanAir - you never know if they'll be on strike!
