What does it take to become a moderator?
« on: November 18, 2018, 07:13:32 AM »
Although the vast majority of the users on this forum are extremely well behaved, there's always going to be a post or two (or 15) that need to be moderated. Some of the moderators for the larger subforums haven't been active in almost two years.

So my question is how can someone become a moderator?

Ugh those posts are getting under my skin.. just sad that these official advisers can say what they say.

We hired one for my initial fiancé visa- researched the heck out of the company etc and he was rubbish. Surprised we even got approved. Shortly after found this forum and it’s been a god send

I would be annoyed with the inaccuracies but she's also trying to drum up business for herself from vulnerable people. Can her IP address be blocked for violating the forum rules?

I’ve messaged Leah (the owner of UKY).  I’ll keep you posted.

I’m not impartial enough to mod.  Sometimes a girl has got to stir the pot.    ;D

When I filtered for latest commented posts it was basically all you telling her off. Love it

Yeah, it’ll clog everyone’s “new” feed unfortunately.  But needs must.  I don’t want everyone’s posts locked again.  Thing is, I think she just vomits all over and doesn’t come back again for a few weeks so doesn’t see the comments.

I've also sent her a PM.  Should go through to her email.  Whether she reads it or not, is an entirely other thing.  I've asked her to "kindly leave us in peace."  ;D

Yeah.  Our mods have been great, but understandably, I think a few of them have moved on with real life.

(not criticizing; I totally understand how real life can take precedence; just an observation)
