I wonder

I wonder if this being reported in certain media outlets is true

“This move would also allow Meghan's mother Doria Ragland, who has just moved to the UK, to join them, and there would be room for a live-in nanny”

If it is one wonders what sort of visa she would have applied for and obtained!

The Royal family have access to other types of visas that us common folk could never afford. She could be coming as an entrepreneur as well?

Even visiting royals need visas. It was mentioned in Parliament that these tend to be one of the groups that use the Super Premium Service, for the "cash rich and time poor".

"The fee for this service is £10,500 per visit, plus the premium service fee for your application type."

Megan's mother is likely on https://www.gov.uk/tier-1-investor

"You must have access to at least £2,000,000 in investment funds to apply."

"You can:
...
apply to settle after 2 years if you invest £10 million
apply to settle after 3 years if you invest £5 million"

Those on these visas must pay the Immigration Health Surcharge too even though they likely will never use the IHS fund, nor use the budget of an NHS Trust when they get ILR, as they will pay for private treatment.
