good over the counter medication for a sore throat

Hiya,

Does anyone know of a good over the counter medication for a severe sore throat?  I woke up this morning and found out that I had lost my voice.

You could try Vocaleze drops - taste horrible but good for your throat, I used them when I lost my voice a couple of years ago.

I got some throat spray from the chemist when I had a severe sore throat. I cant remember the name of it. It came in a green and white container. It worked very well. Numbed on contact. I also got some throat lozenges perscribed by my doctor but YUCK they were terrible! Find the throat spray

Teaspoon of butter and one of sugar,mix into paste let it trickle slowly down your throat.

Dequacaine.  I always use these.
