Took about four months and three interviews, but I’ve landed my first UK job with the water company in my area! What a relief! My Christmas has been made!  ;D

Not exactly, but I went into it looking for anything that related to my previous experience and degree. I used to work in title insurance in the US, and it’s incredibly similar to the conveyancing industry here, so I thought that’s where I would end up. I kept an open mind and cast a wide net. More than anything I was just looking for a good place to work - a place where people actually enjoy being there and a place where there’s opportunities to progress. I didn’t expect to find it so quickly, but I’m certainly happy I did!  :D

Can you get somebody over here to look at my pressure? It is a trickle in the evenings.
I just hope that more people will ignore the fatalism of the argument that we are beyond repair. We are not beyond repair. We are never beyond repair. - AOC
