Guess who passed theory today?
« on: January 09, 2019, 06:36:55 PM »
😁

Now to get a few lessons booked so I can get the dreaded practical over with.

I feel more comfortable in a manual now but still not like in an automatic.

Hoping I only need a lesson or two to find out how to pass the practical.

Any tips or tricks I need to know? I figure I can't drive my car to the test but what about lessons?

The usual. American girl meets British guy. They fall into like, then into love. Then there was the big decision. The American traveled across the pond to join the Brit. And life was never the same again.

Thanks everyone! I'll be on the hunt soon for an instructor. Hope I don't have to go through too many. I would like to get the practical booked within the next month or two. I'm notorious for firing professionals that I don't like  :P

We just got a "new" manual so I'll drive it until it's paid off, then I'll try to convince hubby for an automatic. Who knows, I may be so comfortable with a manual by then I won't care about switching  :D

Well done!

You can drive to the test if you are still within the 12 months of arriving on your initial visa.  Even if you fail, you can drive home.   ;D  Totally logical, right?  ;)

Thanks! I'm only 8 months in now so if I can get out booked before May I'll be set. I've been driving without L plates on some because my US license is valid but I've been careful. I feel like I'm being naughty doing it when I have a provisional in my possession  :-\\\\

Do they still have that hazard video you click on?

14 of them. And they are all CGI clips so they're easier to see than the real world ones.

I know I panicked a bit because I felt like I was clicking too many. Like, "Well that kid could run for the road, but I've clicked so many already."

Had read somewhere that overclicking would foul you out.

Yea I was worried I was clicking too much too. On my practice app I got the “anti cheat” pop up a few times lol. Luckily I did really well in the actual test. Glad to have that over with.
