Provisional Driving License Questions
« on: March 05, 2019, 10:39:03 AM »
Hi Everyone <3

So I'm filling out the forms for a provisional driver's license and there is a section (section 6) that asks

-Do you require leave to enter or remain in the UK? Y/N

-Date you became a resident in UK

-Visa or Residency Permit Expiry

I am here on a spouse visa but I'm just confused as it is worded very poorly. I do not require further leave to enter or remain as I already have a spouse visa.... but I'm not sure that's what they're asking. Does anyone know how to answer these questions on a spouse visa?

I'm not certain, as I can't see the exact wording, but I think it is asking if you require leave to enter/remain, as in, you do not have settled status (ILR) and you are not a citizen, so yes, you require leave to remain.

Date you became resident in the UK is the date you entered on your spouse visa.

And for the expiry, it's the date on your BRP.
9/1/2013 - "fiancée" (marriage) visa issued
4/6/2013 - married (certificate issued same-day)
5/6/2013 - FLR(M)#1 in person -- approved!
8/1/2016 - FLR(M)#2 by post -- approved!
8/5/2018 - ILR in person -- approved!
22/11/2018 - Citizenship (online, with NDRS+JCAP) -- approved!
14/12/2018 - I became a British citizen.  :)
