Have you never tried them before? They're really good. https://www.google.com/search?q=Dopsons+butchers&rlz=1C1CHBD_en-gbGB768GB768&oq=Dopsons+butchers&aqs=chrome..69i57.2877j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&safe=active&ssui=on They're called Dopson's and they are a family own/run business and they do REALLY good BBQ boxes during the summer.

This thread is fantastic! I’ve been looking at my spices recently as well and wondering which to take with me and what I can find there. I am planning to bring my little jar of ’Everything But The Bagel’ seasoning from Trader Joe’s! And probably a few other things from there. I’m going to miss that store so much:(

Good to know on vanilla extract! Will bring some with me.

This is so helpful! Thank you! I'll be in Belfast, so hopefully will have a better selection than a smaller town, but maybe not quite as good as Glasgow.
This helps me narrow down my immediate spice list and I can always load up on more when I'm back in the US for a work trip in a few months.

I’ll be in Northern Ireland as well! About 40 minutes north of Belfast!

Pretty much every TKMaxx I've stopped in has had flavoured ground coffee and whole bean coffee.

I recently scored a brand-new, never used Krups filter coffee machine for buttons on a FB local 'stuff for sale' page, so off the back of this thread, i went to TK Maxx in Clydebank today.  They had loads of flavoured  ground coffee....vanilla, vanilla nut, hazelnut, cookie dough.... i didn't look at them all, as it was specifically vanilla i was wanting.  They also had flavoured coffee beans, and loads of flavoured syrups in sugar-free and sugared varieties.

Regarding vanilla extract, I found a very pure extract at my local Booths.  The ingredients list says Ugandan vanilla beans and alcohol.  It comes in an aluminum bottle and is marked intense.  The brand name is ndali.  Of course it says junk like small batch and artesianal and fair trade.  But it’s good.  And intense.

YES!  This stuff is amazing!  I have not seen it here in Glasgow for quite some time, but I wants it (my precious, my own!). It is some of the best vanilla extract I've ever found. I cannot say enough good about this stuff - it's amazing in ice creams and is sturdy enough to hold up in baked goods that have other flavors going on.  :D :D   http://ndali.net/about-us/

Aside - a major hurricane just swept into Africa. I believe it took out quite a bit of Madagascar? That being the main source of vanilla. Might be a good time to grab a bottle if you do much baking, as it could be in tight supply until they regrow the plants, etc.

I’ll pick up some more.  Thanks for the tip.
