Mystery Plant
« on: April 12, 2019, 05:52:56 PM »
Ok, the Daughter brought this home a couple of months ago, when it was half as big and had no flowers. It is now flowering like mad. (At least I hope those are flowers!) It doesn't really show up too well, but the underside of the leaves are a striking crimson color.

I have absolutely no idea what kind of plant this is. Anybody know? It has been on a west windowsill, so I want to make sure it's ok to leave it there over the summer, when the sun gets pretty intense through the glass.

Well, it's been happy as a clam on the windowsill all winter (well, since January), but is now happily on my dresser (indirect light) instead. And blooming like mad. Thanks for the info. Hadn't realized how hard it would be to find the name of a plant! ;D

It wasn't the easiest one to track down, I have to say!  But now you know what it is so you can give it the best care without any guesswork.
