ILR Document Check

Hi all,

I’ll be submitting my ILR this week pending a few of the documents below. Can anyone let me know if I’ve missed something please?

1. My current passport
2. My previous passport (this one has my vignette in)
3. My BRP
4. Life in the UK pass certificate
5. Marriage certificate
6. Husband passport
7. Payslips (May 18- May 19, 13 total- pending May 19)- all e-payslips
8. Employer letter (pending)
9. Letter from previous employer confirming payslips (pending)
10. Bank statements (April 2018- June 19)
11. Copy of original lease
12. Copy of most recent lease extension (done electronically)
13. Council tax bill 18/19
14. Six items of correspondence, all jointly addressed
      Dec 16- Apr 17- Council tax March 2017
      May 17-  Sept 17- Bank statement July 2017
      Oct 17- Feb 18- November 2017 SSE (electric)
      Mar 18- Jul 18- Bank statement May 2018
      Aug 18- Dec 18- British Gas September 2018
      Jan 19- May 19- SSE Feb 2019

I know the bank statements start early, but this is how Lloyd’s sent the reprints of the earlier statements unfortunately!

For the lease, do I need a letter from the letting agent, since it is all done electronically and technically I only have copies?

I'm not sure so maybe someone reading this will clarify, but my 6 items of correspondence were all different sources.  I don't know if the number of sources or just the number of correspondences are what count?

3. water - joint
4.  DVLA x2

6. other banking x2

It's both. They need 6 joint or up to 12 individual items or a combination of both, from at least 3 sources.

Thanks for that- I thought it was 3 (same as for FLR) and I have 4. Is the spacing ok?

The spacing from November 2017 to May 2018 is long, but all the rest are good.

Thanks for this- that's the one I was a little concernd about! I actually can substitute in a Bank Statement from April 2018 there (had it on standby)- but not sure I could subsitute the later ones. I'll have a look. And thanks again!

I just noticed something that may be an issue- if anyone can advise.

My P60 only has my current employment on it, not sure why my previous wasn't included. I was going to send this as part of the optional evidence to support my application, since I have changed jobs within the year, but I probably won't now. Will this be an issue at all?

My HR is looking into why the previous employment isn't on there, but I expect if this needs to go through HMRC it might take a while to get an updated one.

It was so much easier when they had the paper forms because the instructions were there for all to easily see. Now the information is hidden *somewhere* in the online system!

Can I just check I haven’t missed anything on my list above?

If at all possible, can someone also tell me if I’m wrong to be sending 12 months worth of payslips? When I filled in the online application (not yet hit submit though), it said I need to send 12 months as I haven’t been earning the same amount continuously (I had a small pay rise in April), BUT when it asks if I’ve been with the same employer for the last 6 months, I said yes, because I have! However, all my payslips prior to 12 November will be from my previous employer. I’ll also have two payslips for November (one from my old job, one from the new). I have been earning above the requirement at both jobs. I know that common sense would dictate they should be able to figure it out but I don’t want to do anything wrong here, and I’m just sending what it’s telling me to send.

I actually had the same exact question when I did my FLR, because of the wording on the online application (which hasn’t changed). I had an in person appointment for that one and only submitted 6 months worth and it was fine (but I took the others with me just in case). I’m now wondering, if they check your documents when you do biometrics, would they tell you if you’ve submitted too much? Would they even know, assuming the people doing checking aren’t case workers?

Sorry for the long rambling post, being close to being ready to hit submit has put my worries and what ifs in overdrive. If anyone can help that would be amazing. Thanks!

My timeline reads very much like yours however I arrived on the 27th of May and am in the same boat getting everything in order. I was only planning on sending 6 months worth of bank statements and payslips, not 12 and I've been with a new employer since August of last year. I also am concerned as my daughter has now turned 18 and is taking her Life in the UK test next week and what documents I need to send for her?  Its so frustrating and sometimes wished I had more time to spend on here doing research. I'll be the happiest person when its all done

Hi! I think I remember we applied for our initial spouse visas around the same time. Unfortunately I’m not sure about what is required for your daughter now she’s 18, but I agree it’s a very stressful process and I simply want it to be overwith. There always seems to be something to worry about and I never feel fully confident that everything is just right, but I suppose I’ve had two successful visa applications thus far so...
