Visa Document Arrival
« on: July 30, 2019, 09:03:15 PM »
Hi, Thought I'd ask you all cause I'm starting to worry!

We submitted the application online, attended biometrics, mailed the documents a couple of days after (within the 5 days) and the tracking says the package arrived midday on Friday... but we've not had any e-mail confirming the documents have arrived!

Looking at many timelines it looks like people generally get their confirmation the day they arrive, but it's now Tuesday and still no confirmation e-mail and I'm getting worried there's been a problem...

Has anyone else had this issue that can calm my nerves ??

TIA!

Hey!

We posted ours last Tuesday and they arrived on Wednesday.

We got an email today stating - "Thank you for your online application which has been received at the UK Decision Making Centre. Your application is currently being prepared for consideration by an Entry Clearance Officer. PLEASE NOTE: This email is to acknowledge receipt of your Settlement application, if you or your UK sponsor have not already submitted your supporting documentation please ensure you follow the process listed below: UKVI is unable to consider your application without these documents."

So not sure if this is confirmation they have received our documents, or just an automatic email in regards to the online application. Very confusing!

We only received this today however, so maybe/hopefully you'll get something similar in the next couple of days!
Submitted online application: 13 July 2019
Biometrics: 19 July 2019
Documents received in NY: 30 July 2019
Decision made email: 22 August 2019
Documents and passport returned: 26th August 2019

Ours seemed to take ages to arrive via UPS, but we posted within the timeframe so I can't imaging that's an issue... I don't seem to have had that e-mail either, but we did get the "visa application confirmation e-mail" but it didn't have that wording...

It's such a worrying process as it is, I just hope I get the confirmation soon otherwise I don't know whether to contact them?

In the past it's taken up to 2 months to get the confirmation that your documents arrived email.  Right now, about a week is the normal lag.  Do NOT worry.  Your documents have been signed for, meaning they have arrived.  :)

We got our email 18 days after our documents were received in NY, which was about 12 working days.  Hopefully yours will come soon.
