ILR.... "Decision Letter"?
« on: November 19, 2019, 01:28:54 PM »
Hello,

I submitted my online ILR(SET M) super priority application on 29 October and have just given my biometrics yesterday at 11:00 AM in one of the Sopra Steria enhanced centres.

I am wondering how many of you have received a so called "decision letter" from HO and how long did you wait for that to come through via email after giving your biometrics?

* I've read from other forum that a lot of SET(M) super priority applicants heard back from HO just one day after giving their biometrics. I am starting to panic and freak out a little bit...

Thank you!

Mostly it comes same day or the next day but when the service was new it was not unusual for people to wait from several days, up to 3 weeks. We've not seen that for a while now though, you shouldn't have to wait long now. Good luck!

Decision by the end of the next working day
If you’re eligible you can choose the ‘super priority service’ when you apply. It costs £800 in addition to the application fee.

A decision will be made:

by the end of the next working day after your UKVCAS appointment if your appointment is on a weekday
2 working days after your UKVCAS appointment if your appointment is at the weekend
Working days are Monday to Friday, not including bank holidays.

Some updates from me -
Got a call from the HO asking for one more document. She also told me that there's a possibility I won't get an outcome today even though I used super priority service.
Also read these lines in the email. Thought I should share with people.

To enable the application to be considered fully and promptly we need the above documents as soon as practically possible.

Please note as we have begun consideration of your case within 24 hours of submission, we have met our obligations under the Super Priority service and you will therefore will not be eligible for a refund of the Super Priority fee.

Yeah, if you didn't provide all the necessary documentation, you can't hold them to the service standard... but at least you know they are working on your application.

What had you not sent in the first place?

My partner changed his name and in one of the tenancy agreements I uploaded has his old name so they needed the name change deed to confirm his identity.

Another update - I've just been granted ILR now. I am super happy yaaaaay!

Thank you.

Just a quick question. I intend to apply for citizenship as well. Does that mean I need to give another biometrics again?

Thanks,

Yes. They need to know that you are who you say you are every time.

I received an email on the Wednesday that I gave biometrics. They tried to deliver my BRP on Friday and my approval letter on Monday. Both needed a signature.
