FINANCIAL REQUIREMENT HELP PLEASE FIANCE VISA

Hello Guys

I am doing the application to bring my fiance to the UK.

I just had a quick question with regards to qualifying for the financial requirements for the fiance visa.

I am both employed and self employed. My employments salary qualifie for the financial requirement. Can i just submit this, or do i need to also submit my self employment, as it would be a lot easier to just submit my employment salary.

Hi Mark, welcome!

If you meet the requirement with employment alone that's great, just use that. Self employment is a difficult category which you would only choose to use if there were no other option.

Unless there is a very strong reason for you to marry in the UK, it's far better, easier, cheaper and all around less stressful to marry in the US first then apply directly for a spouse visa.

I think the appendix 2 is now integrated into the online application. Either of you can look at it but it should not be submitted until you have completed your research and have all of your evidence in hand. It should be submitted by the applicant while in the US.
