Ok, so after walking a mile to pick up an order at a shop (they phoned Friday said to come get it, we said we'd be there yesterday) we found the shop dark and locked. During their posted "open" hours.
Walked home again. Almost to our place we passed an old guy with a cane walking in the other direction, looking surly. I smiled and nodded at him and got Groundskeeper Willie snarling back "F___ off, ya slag"....
Nice.
It's making it easier to leave this place, daily.
