Morning all .. not sure if a lot of you are working from home like myself but my work told us we can fill out a form and get £30 a month  of tax free money for heating and energy costs .. it’s just a simple form to fill out on the U.K.gov website .. and it just goes into our check every month .. but as resident on a visa I wasn’t sure if I can actually claim
this ? Has anyone done this ? As I don’t want to apply if I cannot or get in trouble as my visa is in process ?

Thanks for all your help again 💛

Perhaps someone else can weigh in here officially but I don't think this is considered government funds (anymore than contributing pre-tax salary in a pension).

It’s a tax relief so *should * be okay and not considered a public fund. I’d research the crap out of it though.

It's not a public fund. Public funds are some benefits, emergency housing and being housed by the council (LEA).

If you wash a works uniform at home, you can claim tax relief and that's not a public fund either.
