FLR (m) - questions
« on: January 16, 2021, 10:17:27 PM »
Hi all!

I was starting to look at the FLR(M) and I was confused if things have changed.

I moved over in June 2018 with a spousal visa and my BRP expires in March 2021. Was curious if there was a best time to apply? To line up long term for the IRL I was under the impression it was best to wait until end of February but I am not sure if that is still the case?

I am positive this is the start of many questions.

Thank you!
Staci

You’ve been eligible to apply since sometime in November 2020 (28 days before reaching 30 months in the U.K.). So you can apply at any time between today and the expiry date of your BRP in March 2021.

When exactly you decide to submit the online application will depend on when is most convenient for you, and when you have all your documents ready.

It’s too late now for it to affect your timeline for applying for ILR, as that would only have been an issue if you had applied way back in November 2020 and had used the 24-hour Super Priority Service... which hasn’t been available to purchase since March 2020 anyway, due to Covid.
