Is this ILR approval?
« on: January 18, 2021, 10:09:20 AM »
Just like to say many thanks to everyone here for helping me on my application.
I finally received my SET(m) decision email from HO, but  I don't see anything explicitly stating my application is approved in the decision letter.
There are two letters:
1 Decision letter with my name and case number, saying:
Thank you for your application for indefinite leave to remain. A Biometric Residence
Permit (BRP) will be sent to you under a separate cover. You should receive your
permit within 7 working days......

2 There is also a information letter saying:
Your application for indefinite leave to remain in the United Kingdom has been approved........
But this information letter just a general letter, no my name or case number.

Is this ILR approval? Sorry, maybe just my anxiety.

Many thanks

Congratulations :D!

It's definitely an approval... for 2 reasons:

1) It actually tells you your visa has been approved:
"Your application for indefinite leave to remain in the United Kingdom has been approved........"
It wouldn't say that if it hadn't been approved

and

2) They would not be sending you a BRP if your application had not been approved... because the BRP is your visa.

My husband attended an in-person appointment but I do remember thinking about the letter they gave us at the time that it wasn't definitive enough, even though they had told us he was successful.
I had wanted it to say as much in as many words, but it wasn't like that! Yours is actually clearer!
