BRP due to expire and taking a short trip
« on: March 25, 2021, 05:43:23 PM »
Hi everyone,

Later this year in December my husband is set to renew his spouse visa. We plan on submitting the application at the beginning of the month (the visa itself expires on the 18th).

Is it safe to plan a short trip abroad before the application is submitted? Assuming it is safe to travel, we are tentatively thinking of a short trip to France at some point in September for a few days.

With the BRP due to expire in December - will that pose any problems at the border?

So long as the travel is BEFORE the BRP expires his return to the U.K. won’t be an issue.
