CBRA Questions
« on: July 20, 2021, 08:07:12 AM »
Apologies if this isn’t the correct board to post on! I Finally got an appointment for my daughter to report her birth tomorrow morning at the embassy and don’t want to mess it up! A few questions:

1. Does my husband need to come? He’s non-us citizen. Or can he just fill out the DS5507.

2. Is it ok to fill out the forms on the computer and wet sign? Or does it all need to be filled out by hand?

Anything I’m not thinking of asking??

Thanks!

Congrats on the appointment.

Generally speaking (pre Covid), he needs to go. You had to stuff notarised if he didn’t. Notary publics are few and far between (and super expensive!!!).

I don’t see why it can’t be typed on the form.

He HAS to go.  If he doesn't and you don't have a proper notary, you won't be able to keep the appointment.

You can absolutely fill it in on the computer and just sign.   :D

Thanks so much! He came and all went well. I think I have major PTSD from the visa process, but that was pretty painless!
