Travelling to US from UK tomorrow, 13/08/2021
« on: August 13, 2021, 12:14:15 PM »
Hi All,

Getting a bit nervous that I haven't received Covid test results from Qured. We used Qured as it was recommended by others here.

We took the test on Wednesday as per the 3-day window and put in a priority post box ~9am that same day.

We have confirmation that the lab are "processing with a result expected in 24-48 hours"...

We definitely submitted our departure day as this Saturday to Qured so they are aware of the constraints... perhaps just looking for a bit of reassurance that they will send the results before our flight at 10:10am from LHR tomorrow!?

Worst case scenario... is anyone aware of a same-day test centre in London, that issues fit to fly certificates? We might be able to do something this afternoon and get  results.

Don't they still do tests at LHR? When I travelled back in March, you could get rapid tests right at the airport.

Looks like they do, according to the Heathrow website:
https://www.heathrow.com/at-the-airport/fly-safe/covid-19-test

From that page:

I hope it all worked out for you.

I've recommended Qured's antigen test which you take at home during a video call with Qured.  Results come within an hour.  It sounds like you took the PCR test.  I've never tried one for a departing flight because I worry the timing won't work given the 72 hour prior to departure requirement.

I really hope you were able to get your results in time.

Same as harcm. I took a rapid antigen test through Qured as that's the minimum you need for USA travel.
