HELP - cannot self-upload documents for fiance visa
« on: September 26, 2021, 12:41:41 AM »
Hi everyone, myself and my fiance are having real problems with the VFS global website.

After finishing our online application on the gov.uk website and paying the visa fee, we were directed to the VFS global website to register for an account, which we have done. We were then asked to select a Premium application centre, which after reading advice on here we knew not to do. However there was no option to select a different application centre or proceed without selecting a premium package.

We logged out to try again, but then it would only let us in with the GWF number we were sent in an email. After doing that it is now only showing us an option to "track our application" but there is absolutely no option to upload documents or book a standard ASC appointment, and we are at a loss as to how to continute.

If someone has encountered a similar problem or could tell us where we are going wrong here, it would be greatly appreciated.

I think you should have selected USA application support centre from the dropdown. Could you try clearing cookies and see if it lets you back in?

Failing that, under contact us, there is a feedback form which they promise to reply to, here.  https://www.vfsglobal.co.uk/us/en/contact-vfsglobal

FAQ's  https://www.vfsglobal.co.uk/en/visa/help/usa

I sympathise, the website is completely rubbish. Good luck!

So two weeks on and we have still had no luck, we're both at our wits end!

Still, we are only able to access the My Applications page on VFS Global and "view pending application" even though we have not booked an appointment or uploaded documents. There is no number to call and we have had a very frustrating email conversation with them, where they said we were not able to change the location of our booked centre – even though our problem is that we cannot book one at all! (Honestly, at this point she would be willing to fly to Los Angeles just to get it done).

My final resort has been to submit a enquiry with UK Visas & Immigration on the gov.uk website to see if they will assist. Otherwise, I'm thinking we may have to hire an immigration lawyer to help us.

If anyone has any other ideas it would be greatly appreciated.

What about cancelling that application and trying again with a different email address?
