ILR- Financial requirement/Five year route
« on: February 02, 2022, 04:30:34 PM »
Hi all.
As a newbie, glad and happy to found this wonderful forum.

Background
entered the Uk 19th Feb 2018
visa expiry date 20th June 2023
Five years in the Uk: 20th February 2023
I am dependent on my partner who works part-time and studies a degree in health-related.
employment salary: 10600 pounds a year
NHS grant: 5000 per pound per year
SFE grant: 5000 pounds per year
Child care Grant (SFE) to care provider: 15000 pounds per year
course start date: Sept 2020
course end date: June 2023
ILR visa application date: 20th February 2023
GROSS Financial requirement: 18600 pounds per year

I have got a couple of questions about the financial requirements and specifically from the UK government document family visa guideline Appendix FM 1.7 financial requirement. On page 37 sources of non-employment income can be counted towards the financial requirement under Category C which includes:
• A maintenance grant or stipend (not a loan) associated with undergraduate study or postgraduate study or research

question (1) Will child care grants from student finance to childcare providers count as a source of income mentioned above?

On page number 40 of the same document under the subheading [Maintenance grant or stipend – further guidance:
The person must be currently in receipt of the grant or stipend or will be within 3 months of the date of application, and the grant or stipend must be payable for at least 12 months, for at least one full academic year, from the date of application or from the date on which payment of the grant or stipend will commence.
Question (2) If my course is ending 3 months after my application, would that affect in any way my application(like that bit "must be payable for at least 12 months from the date of application).

kind regards
kunjani
