1. I assume it’s spent but that’s something you should have determined when you applied for your fiancé visa, since you would have needed to disclose it then as well.

2. No, it means you have lost your licence because of a speeding conviction. A simple speeding ticket is not a disqualification from driving. We recommend including all speeding tickets just in case. Again, though this is something you would have needed to address on your fiancé visa application too.

Thank you for your help. I don't recall needing any of that information for my fiancé visa (particularly about traffic violations). I'll go back through my paperwork. Thank you again!

Got my biometrics done! They've taken the fee for the application. So now just sit back and wait! I'm just double checking that there isn't anything else I need to donas far as the biometrics are concerned. They gave me back the paperwork, but there isn't anything I physically have to send in--is there? Thank you in advance!! Xx

Nope! It's transmitted electronically. You have nothing left to do but wait. :)

Hi all,

For second 2.3 which option do I choose, as I entered the first time on a spouse visa?

It's a bit confusing.

Also section 5.3 Spouse of a UK citizen?

2.1 - tick the first box

2.2 - tick No (it’s your second visa in this category)

2.3 - tick the first box (it’s your first period of leave to REMAIN in the UK... your spousal visa was leave to ENTER)

5.3 - ‘Settlement Visa as the spouse of a UK citizen’

Thanks, ugh! Another question. My husband meets the requirement and always has, but he got a pay rise 5 months ago, and section 7.3A (iii) asks if he's been making the specified amount continuously.

Technically no, he makes more as he's had the pay rise.

Hi All

We've applied for the ILR(M) via the postal option from the UK as told it would take roughly 6 weeks. As told that the appointment dates for applying in person had a 6 week lead time.

I've added all our dates below. Would anyone know how long they are generally taking to be sent back?

Married in the UK - 12th August 2017
ILR (M) Application sent (with prepaid envelope for return journey) - 30th October
ILR (M) Payment taken - 2nd November
ILR (M) Biometric letter received - 4th November
ILR (M) Biometric completed - 13th November

Good luck :).

There's no 6-week lead time for an appointment... it's just that the earliest you can book the appointment is 6 weeks in advance of the date you wish to attend the appointment. So, if you wanted to attend an appointment today, you could have booked it up to 6 weeks ago. If you wanted to attend an appointment on October 30th, you could have booked it any time from mid-August onwards (you can book it before you are married, as long as you attend the appointment after you are married).

Just to note that there's no such visa as an ILR(M) though. You are applying for Further Leave to Remain, based on Marriage to a UK citizen (FLR(M)). ILR is Indefinite Leave to Remain, which you won't apply for until you have spent 5 years on FLR(M).

It'll probably be about 4-6 weeks from when you gave your biometrics... so hopefully in the next couple of weeks :).

Officially joining the FLR-M waiting room.

Arrived in the UK on 17th July on a fiance/marriage visa. We got married on 5th October. Sending off our FLR-M application tomorrow. EEK. I will have to trudge through the snow to get to the post office haha.

i'm really looking forward to this next visa, since the fiance visa is only a 6 month entry visa I don't feel settled. Never thought I'd be looking forward to working again!
