No, just got the normal updates of arrival and decision - I didn't even know you could request something like that!
2008-2013 Tier 4 (General)
2014-2016 Tier 2 (General)
2017-2019 Spouse
2019-2021 FLR (M)
As of May 2021 SET(LR)
Next step... citizenship! I've just been a bit lazy...

Often inaccurate and I suspect slows things down.  So you didn't miss anything!

Quick question. On the online application at the beginning when I registered I put feb 9 as my intended date of travel but they asked again further on in the application. And because I got to that point after February 9th I just put Feb 24th. Do you think they will put the date as Feb 24th?  I would like to travel earlier. I've heard stories where sometimes they do honor the date and sometimes they don't. Seeing how I put two different dates I'm not sure.

Honestly, no idea.  You'll have to wait and see what the visa says and then book appropriately.  Remember the date will be in U.K. format.   :)

If they honoured the date of the 24th, it's not far away!

Ok. Thank you. The date format is something I'll have to get used to. :)

Congratulations!  They must have used an earlier date than the one on your application then?

Yes they used the 17th.  They probably just picked a date between the two. :)

I still can't figure out how they are choosing these dates!  It was so much better when they were using either the approved date or requested travel date.   :)

It really is random but I'm not complaining.

Just an update to my timeline. Visa was approved and in-hand after about 7 weeks from the day it was mailed.

Details:
NON-priority
Renewal for my initial leave to remain (after being in the UK for 30 months)

2016/12/22- Mailed spousal renewal- FLR(M)
2016/12/28- Request for biometrics (letter by post)
2017/02/11- Visa approved (I never received a "decision made" email)
2017/02/15- BRP card arrived (by post) then, separately, application documents arrived

That's just about 6 weeks for NON-priority once all the documents are with them.
Best of luck to everyone!!
2014/04/10- Approval of spousal visa
2014/04/16- Moved to UK
2016/12/22- Mailed spousal renewal- FLR(M) (non-priority)
2016/12/28- Arrival confirmation and request for biometrics
2017/02/11- FLR(M) visa approved (date on BRP card)
2017/02/15- BRP card and documents arrived separately
2019/08/21- apply online for ILR/SET(M) and attend biometrics (paid for next day decision)
2019/08/21 - decision email confirming ILR status (same day!)
2019/08/28 - BRP arrives in mail separately from official decision letter
