Just back from A&E.  Poor Josh.  He is thankfully not dehydrated, but we need to keep an eye on him since he's had the virus for over 12 hours now.  I didn't read the article, but I was told that there are three strains of the virus going around.  One that is 24 hours, one 72, and the other is up to a week.  Please don't let him be sick that long.

And of course I'm starting to get achy as well. :(

It made the rounds about a month ago at my work. I was out of work two days and then spent a weekend out of commission - wasn't good at all!

The virus is still across the water.

For now!

Hard to let Aillidh go back to nursery, but I made sure she washed her hands very well upon getting home.

Poor thing still has a cough.

I talked to Adams sister 2 days ago and her baby has it. Poor little munchin...It sounds like a horrible bug to go through.  :(

Did they get it?

For us it was just full on puking with Josh.  Poor little thing.  It was just an awful week for us all.  What made it worse was I got some other bug, a chesty cough with fever and achy joints.  Went to the Dr today and found out today I have an infection on my lungs?  So he put me on antibiotics.  I'm just glad it's going to be cleared up finally!

It seems that it starts with the puking then goes onto the lung thing...well that's what I've heard as well as am experiencing anyway. I fought the stomach part hard. I took loads of different anti nausea things to not puke and it worked. Now I am told I may have pneumonia. This is no surprise as every year I get severely ill when it comes to my chest. I have to go back to the doctor soon and they're going to xray. Joy!

Hope everyone that has/had this is feeling better

Wow!  That really sucks!  I'm glad for you, that you avoided puking!  Strange, I didn't get that bit, I usually do.  Josh was coughing before it all happened and is coughing again now.  I should bring him back to be checked.

I would just to be on the safe side. Even bronchitis can be torture. I usually get that brought on by my asthma but this time it's worse. I'm just so glad, so far anyway, that I didn't throw up. I'd rather be on a drip in hospital than do that just once

I'm down, and DS was not looking good before bed. Seems to have come on pretty quickly, so hopefully it will go quickly. It really needs to as I need to get to the grocery store!

Well, we all had this awful bug in the UK two weeks ago. Now, everyone I know here in the US has had it (or has it now), too. But it doesn't seem to be as vicious here.

I know I'm coming in late on this topic, but I'm so glad to hear others are a puke-o-phobic as I am!!! I thought I was weird! :o

I managed to make it through 2 pregnancies without ever throwing up once, and I had had bad morning sickness. My kids are currently 4.5 and 7 and I can count on one hand how many times they've thrown up. I almost feel like I've willed them not to!!

Hopefully if we've managed to dodge stomach bugs here in the US we can avoid it there too!
Experiencing a slight delay, but England calls...
