When we would run out of things to talk about, we would do things together online. We were on webcam with each other, but we would play games (mostly cards) on pogo.com while on Skype. Sometimes we would send each other links to movie and television clips on youtube or music videos that we liked. (particularly things like adverts that the other person wouldn't have seen.) We would send links to websites and look at them together. When I had a paper to write for class, we would research the topic together while on webcam and he would help me plan out my paper, and I would read it to him when I started writing, or send him presentations I was working on for school. We could go on Second Life and still be on webcam at the same time, so we would take our avatars on dates together (nerd alert!!!!!  [smiley=smart.gif]) and still talk to each other on webcam. Plus we could watch whole movies in there sometimes. Other times, we would play 20 questions and just ask each other random stuff. We would look up jokes online while we were sitting there and tell them to each other. We went on playlist.com and made a music playlist together. Of course, we often talked about things we would like to do together in the future, and even planned pretend holidays we would take together by looking up stuff online.
Having said all that, there are loads of things you can do together online, but if you are on the phone, I have no idea what you do when you run out of things to say!

And all these years, I thought we were weird. :P Nice to know other people have the same ways to cope.

We used to play 20 questions, but now we know pretty much everything... So it gets kind of dull. ;) Can't really play 20 questions for 6 1/2 years... It has to fizzle out sometime.

We've been planning our "second" honeymoon to Naples for a while. ;D I'm even learning Italian with Rosetta Stone. (I says "second" because he was only here for 3 days after the wedding, and though we had a honeymoon suite in a hotel downtown, I don't really think that counts...)
Finally living with my Husband in London after 6 1/2 years together but apart... and loving my life!

Well, there's always the either/or questions, like would you rather french kiss a donkey, or run down the street naked during rush hour?  :P Or you could play the seven degrees of separation game, name that tune, or things like that. Yeah, you two aren't the only weird ones, for sure!  [smiley=hat.gif]

Tim and I watched a lot of movies together. It started off randomly when I was channel hopping while on Skype with Tim to have something playing in the background and I found one of the Harry Potter movies on ABC Family.  Tim told me to hang on, went and got his DVD, and I decided to put my DVD on instead of watching it on TV,and we watched together, then did that for the other 4 potter movies.  We also watched all of Torchwood together and (UK) Life on Mars this way.  We haven't done any TV watching since i've been back, but we talked about that today how we hadn't, and I think we're going to start trying to watch at least an episode of something we both have each day.  We haven't done the online gaming things, but I usd to play Literati on Yahoo! with a friend who lived in Michigan all the time, and it was pretty fun.

Tim says he runs out of things to say, too. A lot of the time we sort of call just for the sake of calling, but once it gets to the point of repeated "I love you"s and "I miss you"s, we usually get off the phone!
