It’s really hard I still feel a little scared about the situation. I spoke to UKVI over the phone about the mistake and they said that you can attach a cover letter explaining what happened with the error of the visa start date and it is up to the individual case worker to accept the information. It’s terrible that someone would deny an application when you have acknowledged the mistake before even paying for the application but because I paid for the NHS surcharge the online form would not let me go back and change the the error. That is kind of cruel. My health physical and mental has severely deteriorated since undergoing this process. There is no support except for this forum. I feel so alone and trapped. I just don’t have it in me to continue like this.

it's definitely hard, greensad. Please remember that it's 100% fine to reach out to your GP; that's what they are there for! (and look, you just paid your NHS surcharge!!)

I made a dumb mistake when renewing my FLR(M), too. The caseworker was actually quite sympathetic -- and if anything, I think they've grown more sympathetic in the years since. these forms are HARD and the caseworkers know it. I know it's hard, but do try and keep on with your application and cover letter; it's really, really likely that you're gonna be fine.

Why don't you post a draft of your cover letter so the board can look it over for you?
Sept '11: premium service same-day tier 4 visa granted in NYC
July '13: tier 4 visa - applied from boston
October '14: FLRM - applied priority in sheffield office
March '17: FLRM 2 - applied priority in sheffield office
Sept 2019: IRL, priority at Croydon, granted same day
October 2019: submitted naturalisation application
January 2020: citizenship approved!
March 2020: last citizenship ceremony before covid :-O

@crimson88 Thats sounds like a great idea. My biometric appointment is not until December 24th. Christmas Eve. I can write a draft and maybe get suggestions on how to improve it. Hopefully someone can understand my situation.

Honestly, I really don’t think you have anything to worry about at all.

All they will need to do is check your BRP dates in their computer system, and they will see that you accidentally put the wrong date.

So, just explain the mistake in a cover letter, mention it at biometrics, and don’t worry about it :).

It is so scary that someone holds your fate. I remembered that I transversed my birthday but it worked out. Let us know. We all understand.xx

Greensad, if you live anywhere near me I'm happy to meet up for a coffee and commiserations over the mental health impacts of this visa process. Sometimes human contact with people who get it can help.  Feel free to PM.

Also, I recommend joining in on the Pass the Parcel game. Its a silly box of things we ship around the country to whoever is on the list. The rules are simple, the main one being don't steal the box! (it happened once, and KFDancer came to the rescue starting a new one). It brightens my day every time it comes back around to me. :)
