I filed on like 13 June or something, so right at the deadline.  And I received the notice of the payment a couple days ago, but the actual payment I received in my bank about two weeks ago.

Same. I filed around the June deadline and got my cheque around the middle of July.

See, I filed before the APRIL deadline even (20 March; I just checked!).  :(  Maybe I should contact them?  I definitely used my UK address (and my mom would've told me if I check turned up at my 'standard' US address anyway).  Used form 2555 to claim foreign earned income, which obviously made all my standard income on the 1040 go down to 0.  People in this situation are still getting checks, no?

Yes, I filed forms 2555 and 1040 and got a check.

My husband applied right at the June deadline, declared and excluded all of his income and still got the cheque last week.  I couldn't believe it.

Yes, if you go to the IRS website they have a tool that you can put in your ss#, and some other info (how many deductions you took) and it will tell you when to expect your check.

I tried to find this and couldn't, do you think you could post a link?  I'm probably missing something really obvious, but I can't see it. :(

I'm in the exact same situation as you re: when I filed, address used, etc. - and haven't heard a thing yet.

It used to be front and center, but now it is sad and off to the side.

Ummm, when I use that calculator, I get this:

Social Security Number: ***-**-3088

You did not qualify for the Stimulus payment because your qualifying income was not high enough. Qualifying income includes wages and net earnings from self-employment that is includable in taxable income, Social Security benefits, certain Railroad Retirement benefits and Veterans disability compensation, disability pension, and survivors benefits received from the Department of Veterans Affairs.

What gives?!?!  I made over the $3,000 threshold, obviously, though it was all excluded in the end via my 2555.  I think I might contact them in the morning, as I'll be ticked if other people are getting checks and I'm not.

Finally talked to someone who suspects that I may have filed wrong by putting the excluded income on the relevant line, but not putting the same income in wages so it cancelled out.  I have to double check, but he thinks I need to file an amendment and should then be eligible.  Although I still won't get a check - it will be applied to next year's taxes.  Poo.
I refuse to answer that question on the grounds that I don't know the answer.

I'm totally confused.  Form 2555 clearly states to put your foreign income exclusion IN PARENTHESIS on the 1040, thus meaning it's a negative number, right?  So then if I claim a single person's deduction, this then INCREASES that number (since it's being subtracted from a negative).  This made my gross adjusted income something like -24,000 and of course meaning I didn't owe any taxes.  Isn't this right?  Are people still getting checks with their returns like this?  I admit that anything beyond basic taxes confuses the heck out of me.

Edited: just read back a bit on other threads, and it looks like I should've put my UK wages on line 7 ALSO? (as a positive) This totally was not made clear at the time.  Poo!  Guess I'll have to re-file.

Got mine today. I really did not expect it...even when they sent me a notice last week. Things have been going so badly lately that I figured something would go wrong with this too.
