I will just refer you back to superl99's posts, which are clear and to the point. I'm not sure why you're adamantly convinced that your children are sub-par citizens, but that's your choice.
a, because they have nothing other than a current UK passport derived from descent through me. they did not earn it, they do have any proof that they are UK citizens
b, if they do not renew it or if they lose it, or are unable to prove they have any right to enter the UK free & easy .. such as their own foreign birth certificates + mine, all of course without applying for a passport again - then they are well & truly screwed over
Its only a passport for them that allows them to enter the UK as what it seems are quasi citizens
They have no citizenship certificate & the border agency will tell you 100% that a passport is not on its own a true solid proof of citizenship
Maybe its me .... I am not convinced
My daughter recently asked me "Dad am I English" (she could have said Scottish, Welsh, even Irish). I said "no you are not, you are the holder only of a British passport that allows you free will to enter & exit the UK as long as it is current or you get registered as a UK citizen
You're right, I shall stop
