Oh man, <3 Kevin Smith! I'm from just north "that" part of NJ where all (most) of his movies take place. So it's mostly just a bit of NJ love for me. My fave is Dogma. Gotta love skeeball! (And, yanno, Alanis Morissette as God).

I've stayed out of this before because I have almost nothing good to say about skinny jeans, especially on guys, except maybe when tucked into boots. I think they're fading from style, though, so I'm just waiting it out. I was hipster watching on Bedford in Williamsburg last night and the traditional skinny jean look was much less common than it was a few years ago. The new thing is apparently tights-as-pants, though, so definitely not really an improvement!

That was awesome!

I love that YT so much. We were walking in town yesterday and saw a guy carrying a synth. I just wanted to yell 'WE ALL PLAY SYNTH!'
Darn! x-posted with Kerri! Great minds think alike ;)

I love my skinny jeans! I'm incredibly tiny (4'11" and underweight - not by choice!), so if I don't wear trousers that aren't form-fitting, they look big and result in me appearing even smaller than I already am. Flares make my legs look shorter. My chicken legs make boot-cuts look like flares. Wide-leg trousers leave me wondering if my legs have completely drowned in fabric... There have even been occasions where spandex leggings look baggy. :-[ Skinny jeans - when I find a pair that fits properly - allow me to look the size I actually am, which is really the most I can ask for without shopping in the kiddie department.

(It also doesn't help that I look about 15, so wearing anything a bit loose appears as if I have raided my mum's closet in an attempt to play dress up! ::))
I urge you to please notice when you are happy, and exclaim or murmur or think at some point, 'If this isn't nice, I don't know what is.' Kurt Vonnegut

My 13 year old son has such skinny legs we sometimes call him Lowry Boy.  Even skinny jeans hang off him.  I think if you met him you probably wouldn't even know his jeans were skinny jeans.  :)
