No, I know that - it was a joke :P.

Too often you see the opinion that the US product came first and is superior, and then the UK made a bad imitation of it afterwards... I was just pointing out that Smarties were around long before M&Ms were even thought of :P.

Either way, m&ms are still superior. :P

We found plain m&m's in ALDI today! Didn't buy any because they were 99p for 100g....

Just got off the phone with mom and told her that at this rate my checked bag would be full of nothing but candy and soda on the way back!

Seriously, possibly because I grew up with them, they taste fine to me. I honestly don't eat lots of chocolate. I prefer cheese and bread and pasta and wine.... :P
