Checked with the branch, they don't have my statement yet.

So I guess for the application tomorrow, I can only show them the copy that's printed out in branch and a note explaining the delay of the statement in mail.

Hearing here a lot about the decision is strictly based on "ticking the boxes"  - that makes me nervous... :-\\\\ :-\\\\

Maybe I should book the second appointment already?

I wouldn't stress.  They will be used to seeing what statements printed in branch look like - promise.

When I renewed my visa at the halfway point, I was nervous as my appointment was on April 4th.  My last payslip was on March 30th but electronic.  Head office not where I worked.  Payroll sent an original of the payslip after it was printed but I didn't have it in time for my appointment.  So I had to go in with 5 originals and a print out from the company Intranet.  No signature, no letter, no nothing.  My last payslip of February 28th was over 28 days old...  sure enough, it wasn't an issue.  While I would never ADVISE someone to "not worry" when it's not ticking the boxes exactly  - such as the case in my case.  It was okay as everything else was 100% solid.

Oh, and when I got home, guess what was waiting for me?  The original payslip.  :P

Your case isn't even an exception.  Printed in branch IS original.  NOTHING to worry about in the least.  :)

Looking forward to hearing your good news tomorrow.

Just to sum up my experience at the premium application centre in Croydon. The whole process took us 5 hours. We arrived at 10:45am and left at 4pm. With hindsight, I'd have paid the extra 75 pounds to book a super early time slot to avoid the long queue.
All the staff there are super friendly btw.

Here is a brief summary of the process for people who'd be interested:

Our appointment was at 11am. We were let in at 10:45am. Then we went up to the 3rd floor to see the receptionist/first check. There was a queue and it took us around 30 mins to see her and get a case number from her.

Then we were pointed to the waiting area/cafe on the other end of the floor to wait to hand in the application form and all supporting documents. We waited for 40 mins until it's our turn. The staff asked if I have photo copies of everything. Thank god I listened to the advice from the forum and prepared all that. She was very glad that I brought photocopies saying "you made such good preparation that makes my work easier".

Then we waited for another 30 - 40 mins to get called to do the biometrics verification.

After that we went back to the cafe to wait. Our case number was shown in a queue called "waiting to be considered" and there were about 20+ numbers in front of ours. It took 1.5 - 2 hours to move up to the "under consideration" queue.  After our case number moved up to "under consideration", we waited another 1.5 hours to get the final result.

Thank you so much everyone who's answered my questions and who gave me advices. I really appreciate the kind help from all of you. This forum is awesome!

Once you get your new BRP card, give it to HR to photocopy and keep on their records.  It'll save them a bundle of cash annually so they will be pleased.
