Here’s my sponsor letter so far....

Sponsors letter of support

To the entry clearance officer,

I am writing to confirm my sponsorship of <name> for a settlement spouse visa to join me in the UK. I am a British Citizen and have lived in the UK since birth.

<name> is applying on the grounds that we are exempt from the financial requirement, as I am receipt of Disability Living Allowance of behalf of my 6-year-old son, <name>.

My total weekly income is £600.34, and my rent and council tax come to £147.37, meaning I have £452.97 left each week. This amount is more than a equivalent British family would receive on income support. A in-depth calculation can be found in the sponsor's financial documents section, where I have written a supporting letter for the adequate maintenance calculation.

My income comes from non-salaried employment, public funds, and permitted benefits. All required financial documents have been included.

I am part-time employed at <company> as an administrator, I have been employed here since 06/06/2017, I am paid an hourly rate of £7.98, for 23 hours a week. On Average over the past 7 months, I have received £878.07 a month net pay. My most recent payslip for 25/12/2018 was deposited into my bank account on the 21/12/2018 due to Christmas bank holidays.

I am also in receipt in receipt of Disability living allowance on behalf of my 6-year-old son, <name>. He is entitled to the middle rate of care, and the lower rate of mobility. I receive other public funds, and benefits including Housing Benefit, Child and Working tax credits, and child benefit.

I also have savings spread over 2 accounts. The lowest amount that has been in my cash savings account for the past 6 months is £3319.02. Please note, a deposit of £24741.06 was made into my account <number> on the 10/10/2018, this was an inheritance, and a gift from my late father's wife. £22500 was transferred into my savings account <number> the same day. £20000 was transferred into my Cash ISA on the 14.12.2018 account <number>.

After <name> has been granted his Visa, we plan to live at <address> This is a 3 Bedroom house that I have been renting since 20.01.2018. I live here with my two children. I have provided an original copy of the tenancy agreement, and a letter of consent from my landlord allowing <name> to live in the property once the Visa has been granted.

William and I met online through mutual friends in May 2014. Our Relationship began on the 01.06.2014. We met in person for the first time on the 13.12.2014 when <name> visited me in the UK. We have visited each other approximately every 6 months since, totaling 9 visits since 2014, with visits lasting between 8 - 42 days. <name> proposed on the 27/05/2018 during a visit to the USA, and we married on the 31.01.2018 during a visit to Florida, USA.

Between visits, we keep in contact daily primarily using Whatsapp and Skype, however, we also use Hangouts and Email. I have provided evidence of communication in the form of screenshots and messages from Whatsapp, Skype, Hangouts, Gmail and Yahoo Mail. As evidence of visits, I have provided boarding passes and a photograph from each visit, including our wedding. Due to changing phones, I can only provide WhatsApp messages dating back to 2017, and skype messages back to 2015.

I Have also included our marriage certificate as proof of our marriage and a divorce certificate as proof of the dissolution of a previous marriage.

We have chosen to settle in the UK due to my children and family living in the UK and for treatment of my son's Autism.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Yours sincerely

i'm not expecting an answer here, just wanting to vent...

why can't we use PDF bank statements :\\\'( They look exactly the same as the ones from the bank and show the same information.

But here I am, stressing because my bank statements have to show up to and including the 25th December.

i doubt if i go into the bank on the 27th, I can view the 25th because of the bank holidays, so it's going to be the 28th, and then what if someone from the bank won't or can't sign my statements, i'm screwed  :\\\'(

I know i could just take all my paperwork with me on the 29th, and then when i get back to the UK on the 7th, go into the bank and get the statements, the post it over, and then he could apply the 2nd week of Jan instead of first. It's just so annoying that I have the information they need, just not in their required format.

so many what if's. What if I only send until the 21st. that's the date I got paid that's all that should matter, but that's 4 days short of the day on my payslip.

What if I submit PDF bank statements.

My anxiety is going through the roof for no reason, I just want to relax and enjoy Xmas with my kids, but my mind will not shift at all.  :\\\'(

Good afternoon!

I am back in the UK after my trip to the USA, my husband submitted his application online last week, and has his biometrics appointment tomorrow.

I just have a few questions regarding this stage...

1. What does he need to take to the appointment?

2. Do we need to purchase priority before the appointment?

3. We were planning on uploading our documents and sending copies. after the initial request to upload documents, can you go back into this and upload more? (so if we upload everything today, and then add his biometric tomorrow after the appointment)

4. we noticed the order is different to upload is different than the format we are used to seeing, does it matter if some sections are left black? for example, I noticed there were 2 sections for accommodation, one in the sponsor section and another.

as always thank you for your help! hoping to get the copies mailed tomorrow after his the appointment.

1. He takes his passport and his printed biometrics appointment confirmation sheet. They will check his ID, stamp the confirmation sheet, take his fingerprints and photo and send him home. He then places his passport and stamped confirmation with the rest of his documents and mails them to New York within 5 days.

2. Priority can be purchased any time before mailing, but sometimes the VFS site plays up, so it's better to do it sooner rather than later, just in case he has trouble with the site and it takes a few days to sort it.

3. I'm not sure as it's a new service.

4. Again, not too sure, as it's new. Hopefully someone who has done it can help with 3 and 4.
