If you join one, just be wary of UK immigration groups on Facebook, because there is a lot of visa misinformation posted on them.

We’ve had a lot of people over the years see completely incorrect visa application information posted in the FB groups, with members of the groups insisting they were right when here on the forum we were aware that what they were claiming was very wrong.

I'll point out that these 2 groups are not immigration groups. We are all here on different visa paths and have different citizenships. And questions about visa applications are discouraged and we steer those kinds of questions to this group or others similar.

Immigration groups on Facebook have been problematic for sure.

100% - this forum is so much better - I’ve gotten/seen others get some very dodgy “advice” on fb - the fb group I referred to was  was just a sort of social group where one lady said “I passed my Life in UK test today!” and 3 of us realised we were all there at the same time.

Updating as I failed by one! A lot of the stuff I didn’t recognize from studying and I studied everyday for 10 days and also past my tests. The lady there also told me my Biometric card needs to be updated when I come back?! Umm what? My visa doesn’t expire until the 27th of May. I rebooked for the 8th at I different test center. I feel like such a failure……

You are NOT a failure! There are so few questions on the test, and so much information and possible questions in the book. The questions are random, so you might just have gotten the hard ones! Study and practice even more and you’ll ace it next time!!

Do NOT feel bad. It's a very tricky test. Here's to you knocking it out of the park next time.

Thank you for the kind words. Might just stick to reading the chapters as I was fine passing my practice and mock tests with 24 and 100. I must’ve just got some off the wall questions unfortunately. I am all booked in for the 8th of May.

I can't think what she must have meant. But your BRP is valid as long as it's valid.

I’m not even sure? Thought she was just talking some gibberish really. But she wasn’t a very pleasant lady to begin with and I didn’t like the fact they give your results so that people can hear if you failed or passed.

That's really shoddy behaviour. I'm glad you're going somewhere else the next time.

I have 3 friends who did not pass first time.   It helped them find which app was the most relevant to use for studying.
I also understand there are several different modules / styles of questions,  for example one has lots of names in the answers.   Those 3 friends said the same thing - what they had been studying didn't come up.

Good luck with it , we are all on your side - hang in there !

Oh yes, be over an hour to get there. Rather not go back to that place.
