A mysterious Russian shortwave radio signal, nicknamed “The Buzzer” and informally known as the “doomsday radio station,” that has been continuously broadcasting since the late 1970s, has just transmitted the classical piece Swan Lake by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. UVB-76 is transmitted on 4625 kHz and is occasionally interrupted by Russian voice messages, often containing names, numbers, or coded phrases. These voice messages are rare, irregular, and often nonsensical, making the transmission of Swan Lake highly abnormal. Western military analysts associate UVB-76 with Russia’s military communications and strategic command infrastructure. It reportedly remains operational as a fail-safe in the event that satellites, fiber, or cellular networks are disrupted. The broadcasting of Swan Lake, a four-act ballet composed by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and premiered in 1877 in Moscow, on UVB-76 could be interpreted as a mistake or operator error, a test transmission, accidental audio bleed from equipment at the transmitter site, or even signal hijacking. Earlier, Russia showcased the deployment of its nuclear-capable hypersonic Oreshnik missile system in its close ally, Belarus. Fun fact, Swan Lake was repeatedly broadcast across Soviet state television during the August Coup in August 1991. [Yep, the doomsday buzz at 4625 is real and has been there for years. I didn't check it that night and haven't in some time. Maybe it's us this time.]

Denmark’s Ministry of Defense, in coordination with the Government of Greenland and other NATO Allies, has announced that there will be an “increased military presence” in and around Greenland beginning today, including aircraft, ships, and soldiers of the Danish Armed Forces, as well as additional forces from other members of NATO. According to the statement, the enhanced presence is meant to reinforce and bolster security efforts in the Arctic and Northern Atlantic, with activities including the guarding of installations critical to security, assistance to authorities in Greenland including the police, receiving allied troops, deploying fighter aircraft in and around Greenland, and naval task solving by the Danish Navy.
Sweden’s Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson has announced that several officers from the Swedish Armed Forces will arrive in Greenland on Wednesday at the request of Denmark, in order to support military and security operations on the territory and in the Northern Atlantic under the recently unveiled Operation Arctic Endurance.
Two officers with the Norwegian Armed Forces accompanied today’s “advanced team” with the Danish Defence to Greenland, in order to assist with coordinating the arrival of the full force of aircraft, ships, and soldiers from Denmark and other NATO Allies in the Northern Atlantic, according to Norway’s Defense Minister Tore O. Sandvik.
This morning on Truth Social: Trump continued his threats against Denmark and Greenland, reiterating claims that the United States needs Greenland for “National Security.” He states that Greenland is vital for his “Golden Dome,” adding, “NATO becomes far more formidable and effective with Greenland in the hands of the UNITED STATES. Anything less than that is unacceptable.”

So Ford has apparently fired the worker who called Trump a "Pedo Protector". Which, according to the union contract, it can't do. Either he'll be reinstated quickly or there'll be a "freedom of speech" lawsuit, plus United Auto Workers actions.

Something to remember: if I'm remembering correctly [haven't had my first coffee yet] - the federal budget was only approved through January 30 2026. If the Orange One is withholding all funding from Blue states, they've got nothing to lose by not approving another continuation of the budget. After how things turned out last time, it could be a long shutdown.

The killing of 37-year-old mother Renee Nicole Good by ICE agent Jonathan Ross last week in Minneapolis has prompted the leak of personnel date to the ICE List, an online database created to promote accountability by the masked federal agents, according to a report from The Daily Beast....Information included in the new leak includes around "1,800 on-the-ground agents and 150 supervisors. Early analysis by the organization suggests that around 80 per cent of the staff identified remain employed by DHS," according to The Beast. The first batch of names was slated to be posted on the site on Tuesday night. Members of the public have reportedly also shared information about agents in hotels and even neighbors. “I’ve had hotel staff sending post-it notes, bar staff sending DHS IDs, and loads of people saying their neighbour is an agent,” Skinner said. -
